Well, it's in major part due to the fact that we are not a typical land lease community, but that we are in fact a Cooperative Association. What is a Cooperative Association?
A Cooperative Association, as it refers to Far Horizons Mobile Home Park, is a corporation run and managed by a board of directors elected by it's shareholders. Shareholders then are in turn permitted to purchase an already existing home and live within the community.

Who runs Far Horizons?
Far Horizons is a cooperation run by a seven member Board of Directors elected by it's shareholders. We have many resident volunteers who organize and oversee our activities.
Do I have to buy the shares in the cooperation?
No. The shares come with the purchase of a mobile home here in Far Horizons.
Do you have spaces for RV's? No, we do not have any spaces for RV parking.
Do you have financing available? No, we do not finance the units. Cash or a personal loan would be how most units are purchased.
Can I add on to a unit? Yes, within the scope of our Rules & Regulations and after a city permit is obtained.
Can a new unit be brought in to replace an older one? Yes, you can purchase an older unit, have it removed and replace it with a mobile home (of equivalent size) that is not more than 10 years old.
