Thank you for visiting Far Horizons Mobile Home Park Cooperative. Far Horizons is an age restricted (55+) community offering lively and active adults an affordable and enjoyable place to live. Located on the east side of Tucson, between Rosemont and Swan on Grant Road, our convenience to boutiques, restaurants, grocery stores and TWO major hospitals makes for living here an ideal place to call home.
A Cooperative, as it refers to Far Horizons MHP Cooperative Association, is a shareholder-owned community that is managed by a board of directors elected by shareholders. Shareholders own their mobile home within the community, as well as "shares" of the cooperative which means they share the property together. Though we are a cooperative, we are a registered not-for-profit corporation.
If you're interested in purchasing a home at Far Horizons, you must submit an application and pass a background check. You'll also be interviewed by the Board of Directors. Once approved, you'll complete the purchase of the home - it's like purchasing a vehicle, you exchange payment for the home's title which is registered with the AZDOT. We'll then schedule a "closing" to complete the administrative requirements for the new shareholder.
In order for our community to thrive and remain affordable, we need our shareholders to volunteer and be involved in the various activities offered by the cooperative and in the well-being of those in our community.

Do you have spaces for RV's? No, we do not have any spaces for RV parking.
Do you have financing available? No, we do not finance the units. Cash or a personal loan would be how most units are purchased.
Can I add on to a unit? Yes, within the scope of our Rules & Regulations and after a city permit is obtained.
Can a new unit be brought in to replace an older one? Yes, you can purchase an older unit, have it removed and replace it with a mobile home (of equivalent size) that is not more than 10 years old.
